• Introduction to Apron Safety • Terminology • Chicago Convention & ICAO Activities • Airport operator responsibility in preventing ground accidents and reducing cost of apron accidents. • The operational aspects of apron • Installations – guidance material on apron and markings • Apron markings and safety signs • Standard operating procedures • Licensing procedures and role of ground operations • Training people working on aprons • Apron safety awareness initiatives • Human factors in apron safety • Evaluation of airport emergency planning and execution apron, airport inspection • Apron accidents investigation management

Course Aim: 

It is designed to equip participants with the fundamental knowledge, skills and attitudes, so they can effectively oversee and manage apron operations activities in order to reduce to the minimum the effects of accidents that threaten the lives of passengers, personnel and damage properties, equipment and premises.
